SLO GIS Users Group Feb. 2012

My buddy Paul and I did a little presentation at the SLO GIS Users Group. We are usually trying to push Open Source GIS - we tried to be a little more focused this time, showing folks how/what to use on Windows. (Not one person raised their hand when I asked who uses anything else besides Windows, at work.)

So, we rode some of the work done by ‘sproke about Open Source GIS on Windows. We talked about FWTools, PostGIS, TileMill, CartoDB, JavaScript mapping libraries, Fusion Tables … and pointed to the great MapBox and OpenGeo workshops/docs. (think I covered it all)

Anyway - “ya had to be there” but here are the slides, not really the same without our witty, verbal content :P It was quite well received! Thrown together quick + dirty with Tom’s Big.
